Voila 6×6

Last night I had a workshop with a wonderful group of ladies that I have known now for YEARS! (Hi Karen, Heather, Becky, Janet, Molly, Cindy, Debbie, Ashley, Elizabeth, Denise) Since they have been getting together for so long, sometimes I am really challenged to come up with something different. Anyway the workshop was hosted by Karen and Heather and as with all the parties with this group, the food was excellent! Heather is a very good cook and what we decided to do was have everyone bring copies of recipes and we made this 6x6 scrapbook page to put them in.

The set is Voila - what a cute little guy. He was stamped with JetBlack StazOn on the Vanilla paper and then on the striped paper from the Dashing Designer Paper (don't forget the FANTASTIC sale - buy 3 get one FREE - on the designer paper) then cut out and layered onto the vanilla one Everything was colored in and then cut out. The base is a 6x6 piece of Real Red cardstock. I took a 5 x 5 square of Old Olive and cut it on the diagonal. We then paper pierced along the edge. I printed the word COOKIES on my computer (onto a piece of River Rock cardstock) and then we stamped Christmas from Fundamental Phrases using Real Red ink. We used the ticket corner punch on the corners and then added some silver brads. A piece of the small dotted paper from the Dashing designs was added along the bottom. Just had to remember not to tape the pocket shut! (Okay...it did happen a couple times but we were able to fix it!). Insert a stack of very yummy cookie recipes and VOILA - ready for the holiday season.

I was going to add my favorite recipe, but I figure since it's printed right there on the tube (slice, bake), I didn't really need to - LOL!!!

Now wouldn't it be fun to have a regular get-together with your friends and make different categories and put together a little 6x6 books with all their recipes in there!

Happy Stampin'!
