Thankful Banner - L: This is IT!

Well, here you have it...the final letter for the banner! Again a deviated just a little from the one in the mini. Cover the base with the Really Rust polka dot paper and sand. Next take your final piece of 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 River Rock cardstock and adhere to the back. Next I took the medium leav and cover that with the Wasabi designer paper that had the dotted circles on there. I took a little really rust button and tied some linen thread through the holes and then adhered it to the leaf using a glue dot. Next you just add that to the letter, punch those ribobn holes in there and you know have a complete set of letters to make the Thankful Banner!

Now what you want to do lay out all your letters in order (don't want to spell this wrong!). Take that LONG piece of ribbon and fold it in half. I creased it so I could easily see where halfway was. Next I started between the N and the K and weaved the ribbon through the holes until I had everything strung together. I worked from the N to the T and then from the K through the L. Put that crease right between the N and the K. You can then adjust for how close or far apart you want the letter to be. For me I wanted the letters to be pretty clost together so I played around until I got them close.

The final thing to do is make loops at each end so you can hang the banner up. I just tied it with a knot on each end and this worked just fine for me. You could take some of the large eyelets and make loops that way or just use the eyelets to hand it up. Really anyway you want to finish off the ends will work just fine. I like the loops because it is pretty easy to adjust the length of the banner.
Hope you all had fun with the tutorial! I know that I had fun making the banner and look forward to hanging it up in my dining room once November rolls around. Those of you who come to classes at my house will be able to see it then.
Now just so you know, I've been doing some stampin' and have several things to share so keep checking back and see what stamping I've been up to.
Happy Staminpin' (and banner makin') everyone! -----
