Stitched Exotics

I was SOOOO excited when I won this set at Leadership. I've wanted this set ever since I saw what my friend Connie did with it for Leadership so getting it FREE was just TOO EXCELLENT! I've started playing with it some during my cyber play times with Lisa. I've been inspired lately by the colors of the Western Sky paper (and the paper too!) so that is where I started on this.
So here's my problem. I have the 'card' finished but I can't decide which card base I like better. Each one gives a completely different finished look to the card. I made the 'card' and put everything together on the piece of Western Sky paper and then laid it on the Ruby Red base in this picture. It makes the card look kind of 'bright'...and I do like like BRIGHT (just in case you hadn't picked that up yet in my stuff). The picture is a little fuzzy...sorry!

So in this one I laid it on a Blue Bayou base and it really gives it a more subtle look. Isn't it amazing what a small change like this can do for your card...completely change the look of it. The colors of the card (in case you haven't guessed it yet) are Ruby Red, Blue Bayou, River Rock and Soft Sky...all inspired from the Western Sky Designer Series paper which is the three pieces of card stock you see on this. I added some Blue Bayou double stitched ribbon because..I MUST have ribbon on my cards...no...REALLY! Then I decided to use some of the white half pearls in the center of each flower. The celebrate is from the Labelious set and the only reason I used it (besides that fact that it fit and it looked good) is that it was what was sitting on my desk and I didn't feel like digging.
Okay...which is better? (This is alot like being at the eye doctor and they show you two different views and they look different but the same at the same time!)
Happy Stampin'!

I like the blue better - it makes it “pop” more.
