This month in my workshops I have been featuring that YUMMY designer pad that Stampin' Up! had as their May special (see post on April 19th to view the pad). What I demoed was something called a "One Sheet Wonder" (OSW). Now in the past when I did a OSW, I stamped a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock (see Power Up posting on April 15th) then cut it up to make a variety of cards.

So here I had this pack of 48 sheets of totally YUMMY paper. What's a girl to do???? I decided to take one of the 6x6 sheets (Certainly Celery), cut 4 different size pieces from it, take one set (Simply Said - not retiring), 2 colors (Apricot Appeal and Regal Rose - both for paper and markers), Basic Black ink, Whisper White Cardstock and Lt. Pink Gingham ribbon and make 4 different cards. Two featured one side of the paper and the other two featured the other side of the paper.

POP OSW

First here's your cutting sheet for the 6x6 designer paper. Start by cutting #1 - 1" x 5 1/2 strip. Next go to #2 - 2" x 5". #3 is 3" x 4" and finally #4 is 2" x 4". Get those cut and set them aside.

Take a piece of Apricot Appeal cardstock and a piece of Regal Rose cardstock and each in half to make 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 pieces. Fold each of these 4 pieces in half and these will become your card bases.

Simply Said OSW 1

Adhere strip #1 to Regal Rose card front. Tie piece of Lt. Pink Gingham around card - tie knot to the left side of card. Stamp heart 3 times on piece of Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink. Color with Apricot Appeal and Regal Rose markers. Punch out each heart using the 1 1/4" square punch. Punch 3 squares out of Apricot Appeal cardstock using your 1 3/8" square punch. Layer heart onto each square and then to card. Stamp greeting on bottom right of card front using Basic Black ink. Card #1 is now finished.

POP OSW 2

Adhere piece #2 (polka dotted side this time) to Apricot Appeal cardstock. On piece of 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 Whisper White Cardstock, stamp multiple flower image and saying toward the right side. Color with markers (I did use markers to highlight a couple of the words). Adhere to piece of 2 3/4 x 4 Regal Rose Cardstock then adhere to card front. Tie piece of Lt. Pink Gingham ribbon around card. There you go...card #2!

POP OSW 3

Now take piece #3 (3 x 4) and adhere to a piece of Regal Rose Cardstock cut to 3 1/4 x 4 1/4. Adhere this to Apricot Appeal cardfront. Stamp multi-flower image using Basic Black ink on 2 x 3" piece of Whisper White cardstock and color using your markers. Layer onto a 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 piece of Apricot Appeal Cardstock. Cut a 1" x 2" piece of Regal Rose cardstock. Stamp saying using Basic Black ink. Use your tag corner punch on each side to make it into a tag. Punch hole using 1/8" punch. Now tie the tag to the stamped piece using Lt. Pink Gingham ribbon. Adhere this piece to card front and a colorful card #3 is ready to send to someone special.

POP OSW 4

Okay...we're heading into the home stretch now with our last card. Adhere piece #4 (2 x 4) onto card front. Either use your marker (and your Stamp-a-ma-jig) to just do the thank you or stamp the entire saying onto the designer paper using Basic Black ink (or your Basic Black marker). Now tie your piece of Lt. Pink Gingham ribbon around the card. Stamp heart that is comprised of words onto a 2 x 2 piece of Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink (I did use my Stamp-a-ma-jig to get this placed on the paper). Use your Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp solide heart inside using Regal Rose ink. Layer this onto a 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 piece of Apricot Appeal cardstock (notice that I turned the one stamped image and didn't do it like a normal layer) and then onto your card front. Well there you have it...card #4 and 4 totally different cards using one set, one piece of Palette O'Prints paper, 2 colors and one type of ribbon.

With 48 sheets of paper in the Palette O'Prints pad, just think you could make 192 cards! Better get going...I want to see them all done by the end of the weekend! Okay...just kidding!
