I know...you thought maybe I'd NEVER pick up rubber and ink and paper (oh...and of course ribbon) again! WRONG! I told you that over the weekend we went to a Stampin' Up! regional in Louisville KY. Oh the fun! Anyway...lots and lots of inspiration! One of the cards that really inspired me was made by Jaron (oh on the very creative and highly entertaining staff at SU). For mine the stamp set is the same and the layout is pretty close.

Stem Silhouette

Now there are a couple things one this. First is the stamping with two different stamps and layering them. These images are from Stem Silhouette (one of the sets that is on special this month). I started with an Always Artichoke circle and then stamped one weed image (okay...it probably isn't a weed...but it is what I grow best!) with Always Artichoke and the other with craft white. That is layered on a 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 piece of Elegant Eggplant that I paper pierced along the bottom. I then layered a strip of Mellow moss along the top (just letting a little show). This is all on a piece of Sahara Sand card front (opens from the bottom). I stamped the top portion of this with the Sanded background using Sahara Sand ink. The final item is a some Mellow Moss taffeta ribbon (oooooo....such delightful ribbon!). Oh...then I stamped happy Thanksgiving underneath the Elegant Eggplant piece. So you see a simple card!

Now if you decided to purchase the Stem Silhouettes during the September special (okay...if you purchase this ANY time but September is really the best time), I have a suggestion for you. There is a VERY long thin saying in this set. I mounted mine on the block and couldn't get it to stamp correctly. I then decided to remove it from the block, take off the foam and then remount it with the rubber directly on the wood block...works like a charm!

Hmm...maybe I should go stamp something else while I'm in the mood! Happy Stampin'! -----
