LYD - CC

One day while I was cruisin' around the web I found a card with this wonderful color combo of Barely Banana, Sage Shadow and Close to Cocoa. Ever since Stampin' Up! came out with So Saffron my poor Barely Banana has been neglected! Sage Shadow has also been neglected (as well as some of my other greens) when Certainly Celery came around. The card inspired me to do a card with these colors so here you go.

Markers were used directly on the rubber to create the base of the card. I did use So Saffron marker instead of Barely Banana so it would show up. Took a little while to do it, but I LOVE the way it turned out! I used the same technique to ink my main flower and stamped that on a Very Vanilla panel. The butterflies were stamped with So Saffron and then cut out. I paper pierced in the opposite corner for a little more interest. The Chocolate Chip satin ribbon can be found in Theatre Ribbon Originals. Direct to paper technique was used with Sage Shadow ink on the Sage Shadow paper.

Except for creating the base card, this is a fairly easy card. Only one stamp set was used (I like that!) and only 4 pieces of paper. I find it is so easy to just keep layering paper on there yet it can be the simpler designs that are just as nice.

Happy Stampin'!
