Live Your Dream

Well Sale-a-bration is officially over and I found myself with a little extra time on my hands this morning. I decided to sit down and do a little stamping before heading over to school. This is the last week of the quarter (oh YEA!!!!!) and I couldn't be happier. Spring break is right around the corner.
It is pouring down raining outside so the dogs are both in hiding. Chloe is afraid of thunder and if a raindrop hits Gypsy on the nose, she hightails it right back in the house! They are predicting rain for the next two days or so!
Oh...about the card. Anyway, I had this extra time on my hands this morning and decided to stamp. (Was going to stamp last night but REALLY had to get started on my taxes!) Okay first about the scan...the two whites ARE REALLY the same color. I think because of the ribbon there is a shadow on the bottom (with the words) white. So you'll have to make that adjustment in your mind. I inked the flower stamp using my Pumpkin Pie, Night of Navy and Certainly Celery markers...stamped on white and cut out. To make the scallop edge around it, I used my 1/2" circle punch and placed on the back. The saying is stamped in Night of Navy with a strip of that color underneath. I just LOVE my new striped Pumpkin ribbon and decided that would work. The butterflies are stamped with Wild Wasabi on Certainly Celery paper. Honestly it is that quick and easy. The layout for this card is a sketch challenge you can find here. I liked the fact it was such an easy one (much needed in week 11 of the quarter!). The colors was a combo that I found on a card by the EXTREMELY talented Julie HRR. I was going to send you the link to the card but it is in an area that not everyone can access. The colors just stuck me so I HAD to use them! Will share another time the first card I made with these colors.
Okay...I've messed around long enough. I really MUST go get ready for school! Happy Stampin'! -----
