Happy Heart Day - Lollipop

I remember a song from when I was young and it went "oh I'd rather suck on a lemon drop then to waste my time on a lollipop, 'cause I always drop my lollipop and it gets all over icky" (okay there is really more to the song then that but that pretty much sums it up!).
A while back my friends Jackie and Jo came over for a play date (I think it was over Christmas break) and Jackie wanted us to do something with her heart lollipops (just saw these at Krogers - CHEAP - my favorite price!). This immediately came to mind. You are going to see the little 'medallion' on the next several posts as it is a quick and easy embellishment. You need 4 punches: 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/8" and Scallop. With these four, you can just create all kinds of cute medallions (Sale-a-bration here I come!). The colors are Regal Rose, Real Red, Bashful Blue and Whisper White. There's a little piece of Bashful Blue grosgrain ribbon on there. The one thing I didn't do that would have been better was to use a glue dot to hold the ribbon in place. Oh...I also pierced around the petals on this. I think if I was making these for a kid's class I probably wouldn't spend the time to do that. Markers were used to color the flower.
So...need a quick treat? Get yourself some lollillops. Oh and then there is the song "L-O-double L-I-P-O-P for me. It's a lick on stick guaranteed to make you sick. Lollipop for me!"
