Fun & Fast - Get Well Card

This is a card that we did at my World Card Making Day event this past Saturday. We made 5 general cards and 5 Christmas cards. This was one of my very favorite ones. The colors of the card were inspired by the Uptown Designer paper (oh...in case you don't know SU is going to be offering a special on designer paper in November...buy 3 get one free - OOOOOOOO!) Back to the card. The strip and the green (Wasabi) behind the bird are from the Uptown series. The base card is So Saffron and the purple is Lovely Lilac. We stamped the bird on Watercolor paper using StazOn Jet Black then colored using the Aquapainter and Watercolor Wonder crayons. The Get Well Wishes is not from this image but from the Flower one. I cut the words from the images and mount them on the side. The ribbon is Apricot (which works well with the Saffron) with a piece of Wasabi double-stitched ribbon layered inside. That's all there is to this one. Oh...one other thing...the layout of this card was inspired by Cambria Turnbow!
I will be offline over the weekend so Happy Stampin' everyone and I'll see you either Sunday night or Monday!

Beautiful card Mary! I love the strip of designer paper at the bottom. It ties all the colors together so nicely.
