FF 3

Taking a day off from showing you some Text & Texture samples. Here's a card I made while playing with my friend Lisa. We were using the sympathy card layout on page 44 in the catalog. I wanted to play with my Fabulous Flower set and do some color layering with the main image. I stamped the image 3 times: Bordering Blue, Blue Bayou and Not Quite Navy. I then cut out at different places and layered using dimensionals. I colored the small middle three 'petals' with my chocolate chip marker. I used the ticket corner punch on the corners and layered onto a piece of Chocolate Chip. I used some River Rock Designer Paper to look a little like a ribbon attached to a piece of Chocolate Chip behind the main image.

I stamped the words "Dare to be Fabulous" using Not Quite Navy ink then I took a VersaMarker and filled in Fabulous to make it just a tad bit darker. I've done this before and like the effect....easy to do! Sometimes it's the little things like this that can make a difference. I tied a little piece of River Rock Double-stitched ribbon onto an oval paper clip from the hodgepodge hardware set. I think it pretty much goes along with the layout in the book.

Okay...tomorrow...back to Text & Texture! Happy Stampin'! -----
