Can you believe that Christmas will soon be here! I find that hard to believe too! Well, my Leadership samples are done and have been sent to Stampin' Up! (woooo hooooo!) and the only SU event I have left for the year is my Hostess Appreciation party the beginning of December. Well, I already have everything planned for that so I decided I needed some projects. Response has been good for my Snow Votive Holder so my idea was to give you some gift giving ideas - big and small! You probably have seen many of these ideas before but sometimes we forget - I know I do! So over the next couple weeks I'm going to try to share some ideas and include directions to help you duplicate them. I hope you enjoy these.

Designer Paper Ornament

The first project is an ornament I saw last year. It is such a quick and easy project...one you can do while you watch tv. All you need is a clear ornament and some double-sided designer paper. Cut the paper into strips 3/4" x 3". I can't really tell you how many as it depends on the size of your ornament. (See pictures below) Once you have these cut, start wrapping them around something like a thin paintbrush handle. (That's what I used.) Keep doing this until all your little pieces of paper have been rolled up. You want to use a variety of papers so roll the designer papers some with one side out and others with the other side out. Once you have all of these rolled, you want to start randomly putting them inside the clear ornament. Try to not get all the same ones in the same place and also try to plan a variety of light, medium and dark evenly spaced. These things help your final ornament look better. After your ornament is 'full', put the top back in, add a ribbon for hanging and you are done! It really is that quick and easy. Below are some photes of the different steps to help you out!

Sorry this last picture is a little blurry...I tried a couple times but it just didn't work today.

Hope you enjoyed this project. Stay tuned for more!
