Dad’s Day

This was the first card I made with this set. There are two thinks I LOVE about this set...first it is so much fun to use the markers right on the rubber (one of my favorite things to do!) and second...the images are PERFECT with our punches! Okay...one other thing...I LOVE the "You're the Man" stamp - LOL!!!
I wanted to go plain and simple on this card. It sort of remind you of a plaque. The colors are Sahara Sand, Chocolate Chip and Blue Bayou. I used the Sanded background on the card base and the Print Pattern background on the Chocolate Chip piece. The ticket corner punch was used to make the plaque look. I used Not Quite Navy, Chocolate Chiip and Sahara Sand markers on the image. I took one of our metal circle tags (sorry can't remember right now if it is the large on or small one - whichever was sitting on top of my desk at the time - LOL) and cut the paper out of the middle and mounted that behind the image. The image fits perfectly with the designer label punch. The piece is finished off with some vintage brads and some paper piercing at the top and bottom.
Stayed for more Dad's Day over the coming days. I really loved working with this set. Happy Stampin'! -----
