The other day during Technique class, we were making backgrounds using reinkers. During the afternoon session, I made this background and I REALLY liked the way it turned out and decided that I would make something with it later. Today I was cleaning up the dining room (FINALLY) and came across the backgrounds I made. I then was cleaning up my back room and came across my Blossoms Abound set (boy...don't I ever design things in an odd way!) and decided the two would work together quite nicely so here you go.

Blossoms Abound - reinker background

The colors are Apricot Appeal, Pumpking Pie, Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke and Night of Navy. As I was making it, I decided that I wanted to add some brads but neither the silver nor the gold really worked with the colors of the background so I pulled out my vintage brads and added some copper ones. Then, since I added the copper brads, I thought it would be nice to carry the copper over into a bow with the copper cord over the ivory organdy.

Now, because of the way the background is made, I still have another piece of this pretty background. Hmmm...going to have to do something with it before long!
