I'm a hoarder too! Although I have to admit...I'm getting better at using my stuff. I get this beautiful stuff and I want to save it so I don't use it all up. SILLY ME! I've been really trying lately to make myself use the fun embellishments and pretty designer paper.

So speaking of which...one of the easiest things to hoard is items from the pretties kit! I just LOVE the flowers and the crystal brads but easily overlook them. Today Lisa and I are doing a little stamping (in between me working on my taxes!). One of my favorite artists is Lauren Meader (mytime) and when I saw this card on her website I KNEW I had to case it. This was our first card for the day. I had already decided I wanted to use the color challenge (whisper white, soft sky and basic grey) and kept going between Priceless and Baroque Motifs. As you can see, Baroque Motifs won! Here is where my hoarding came. I stamped the little flower on it but then decided it would look better if I used 'real' flowers from the pretties kit. I dyed the white flowers by pressing them on the soft sky pad. Then I decided they would look REALLY NICE if I put a crystal brad in the middle. To finish things off I stamped Cherish with versamark and embossed with white embossing powder and tied a piece of the soft sky double-stitched ribbon around it. It is difficult to see in the picture but I used dimensionals between the white layer and the soft sky card base.

So here' my take on mytime's card. Changed a couple things around but otherwise the layout and style are very similar. So why don't you do some stamping today and use something YOU'VE been hoarding! Happy stampin'! -----
