Folded Ornament 1

Here's another one! I just LOVE homemade ornaments and most of the ornaments are my tree have a special meaning...either something handmade or something given to me. If you have been to any of my last couple workshops, you made the following ornament. The idea was given to me by my dear friend Jackie! (Thanks Jackie...we have really enjoyed this!) For those of you who didn't get to come to a workshop, this is for you!

The most difficult thing about making this ornament is getting the fold right. You need six 2x2 pieces of double-sided paper. (Really you can use any size mine was made with 2x2...you can get 6 ornaments out of one sheet of 12x12 paper. Fold the ornament in half, open it up and then fold it in half the other direction. This next part is important, open it up, TURN IT OVER and then fold it on the diagonal. Open this up and push the middle down.

So do this six times and you are ready to start putting your ornament together. What you are going to do is tape the flat sides together, point side up. As you tape them together they start forming a little circle (wreath). Once you have all of these taped together, use a 1/16" punch and punch a hole through one of the points. You will then thread a piece of cord elastic cord through the hole and tie the end. I finished mine off by putting one of the large crystal brads from the Pretties kit in the middle. Just kinds of gives it a finished look. That all there is to this one! See...another thing to do while you are watching tv!

Now go cut a big stack of 2" squares, put the Tofurky on to cook (okay...that's what we have in OUR house!) and make all your company make one of these and you'll have all the decorations you need for your tree! Happy Stampin'!
