Always a challenge

As you know I got to do some stamp playing with my friend Lisa from Nebraska and then my friend Connie from Columbus joined in. This was just SOOOO much fun. Here is the second card we did.
For this challenge we started with this card by Amy Rysavy and then we decided that since we all had the ALWAYS set that we were going to use that. Boy was it ever interesting to see what we each came up with. For my card I used Apricot Appeal, Mellow Moss, Chocolate Chip and Rose Red. It's a little difficult to see on the scan but I stamped the heart and the circle A with ALWAYS with Chocolate Chip CRAFT ink and then covered with Iridescent Ice embossing powder and heat set. I paper pierced along the top of the Whisper White and used my small corner rounder to make the scallop on the Mellow Moss cardstock. I had gotten the Burgundy 5/8" grosgrain ribbon back around Christmas and never even used it and I thought it would be perfect for this.
What is REALLY interesting though is to see how the other two turned out. Connie's colors appear very similar to mine while Lisa chose to use the heart. You can see Connie's card here and Lisa's card here. Isn't that cool to see how we each interpreted the same sketch using the the same stamp set?
Stayed tuned the rest of the week for more things I made Saturday and Sunday. I really didn't have much of a Spring Break with heading of to campus three days and then having to work on my course site so this was pretty much it. Oh...and I still do need to finish my taxes!
Happy Stampin'! -----
