If you are on my mailing list, you received information about a promotion from Stampin' Up! that will start on Friday. I mentioned in my email to come over here for some ideas on using the Accent and Elements tins that are coming bundled three to a pack.

tin card holder

Here is an idea that we did at convention this year. We took the tin and decorated the front with some Blue Bayou decorated paper, the lower case c, the flowers are from the Build a Flower tin and it has a build a brad (now available) in the center. To put the ribbon handle on there, we used our crop-a-dile to punch holes in the side (dang...that thing can punch through ANYTHING!!!!) and put some of our wonderful 5/8" Chocolate grosgrain ribbon in there for a handle. This was a favorite make and take of mine at convention! These would be cute with a person's initial on the front and then fill with monogram notecards for them! You could also have it with recipes in it...make it recipes for desserts or appetizers or something like that. Could you just see the chef from Viola on the front? He'd be SOOO cute!

tin closed

Okay this was something that I made last year. The tins look REALLY cool when you emboss then. It is really important when you go to emboss them that they are completely clean and you don't want to be handling them much or the oil from your hands will transfer. I found it worked best to tap with my embossing buddy, stamp with my versamark and then cover with silver embossing powder and heat emboss. It just gives it a REALLY cool look! This uses the Petals and Paisley set and matching paper. I also used some Orchid Opulence. Now, remember I made this last year so it also uses Cool Caribbean ink and paper. The band on the front of this is designed to slide off to show what is inside. So...what's inside????

tin open

None other then my adorable great niece! I printed the poem out on the computer and decorate along the side. I used my coluzzle to cut out the circles. Then I made a tag. This really is a GREAT project to give to someone. I love giving pictures as gifts!

Happy Stampin'! -----
