Absolutely FABULOUS!!!!

No...really...it is! On Tuesdays Beate posts an Inspiration Challenge. When I saw the piece, I absolutely HAD to sit down and play.
It was such a dreary day on Tuesday...it rained ALL day. It was one of those days where you really just wanted to crawl back in bed and stay there! Anyway...when I got home and saw the piece I immediately went to work. I liked the black and white background contrast so I started there. I did rotate the piece though for the white to be on the bottom. I then pulled out some of the colors I saw in the piece (Ruby Red, So Saffron, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, and Bordering Blue) and started punching. I really did use ALL my circle punches - 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/8" and then just layered away. I finished off the piece with a some Old Olive 5/8" grosgrain ribbon and the greeting "you're absolutely fabulous" from the Absolutely Fabulous greeting set. The finished card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.
A while back I did a set of cards using Basic Black, Bordering Blue, Old Olive, Blue Bayou and Whisper White and I thought of these as my 'Amish Quilt' cards because the colors reminded me of an Amish Quilt. I would have to say that colors here mind me again of an Amish quilt.
Thanks Beate for a delightful and totally inspiring challenge! Happy Stampin'!
