Well it DID stop snowing and we are dug out so that is good. It looks like we ended up with around a foot of snow with drifts 3-4 feet. Although very pretty to look at, I am SOOOOO NOT a snow person! I was done with winter MONTHS ago!

So yesterday I showed you a card I made using Spring Break Designer Series Paper and A Little Birdie set. Well, I was on a roll that day and decided I wanted to do another sketch challenge from over on Splitcoaststampers. I sat down to start trying to figure out what I was going to use and since I hadn't cleaned up my mess from the last card (oh...there's a real shocker - LOL!) I decided to use the same things as my first card.

So this is most all the same stuff. What's different? Well I used some textured Blue Bayou on the small birdie (I saw this idea for putting the two birdie's together like this somewhere out there in cyberspace so if you were the person who came up with this idea - THANK YOU!), the base of the card is Old Olive and I finally cracked open my new Pumpkin Pie Striped Grosgrain ribbon. I also added some Old Olive and Not Quite Navy colored brads in there.

What I find interesting about these two cards is that I essentially used the same things as my base (Spring Break paper and A Little Birdie Told me) but the end results are definitely different. I really do enjoy doing the sketch challenges. It's nice to have a place to start when you sit down to create.

So why not you try one of the sketches? They really are not that difficult but alot of fun especially if you open up a pack of designer paper and use it!

Oh...here's a picture of the two cards together...
