Today I had a cyber 'playdate' with my wonderful friend (and swap mom) Lisa out in Nebraska. We decided that we needed to use some of the stuff we got that will be in the next catalog. When we have a cyber playdate, we put out challenges to each other. My first one was to get an idea for our swap (won't show that until after our swap is over...don't want to spoil the surprise). After that I found a layout by the every talented JulieHRR. If you want you can see the inspiration card here. The minute I saw this layout this morning I wanted to play with it. Julie's layouts are always so wonderfully visual yet very simple to duplicate. So we decided that we wanted to use the new Embrace Life set and we both wanted to use the new Ginger Blossom paper (ooooooo....SOOO YUMMY!)

EL 1

This is really such a simple card. The set is Embrace Life and all stamped images come from there. There cardstock is Very Vanilla, Ruby Red and Basic Black. The designer paper is the new Ginger Blossom. I stamped the flower image on Watercolor paper and used my Ruby Red marker and my AquaPainter to color it in. A black brad is in the middle of the flower. I curled the petals some to give it some dimension. The leaf image was stamped on the piece of Very Vanilla using River Rock ink. Embrace Life is stamped in black on the designer paper and a piece of Black grosgrain ribbon is tied around it. Oh...I forgot, used the ticket corner punch on the top corners. That's really all there is to this card...nice and easy!
