Year After Year
Wow...it’s been FOREVER since I have used this set! I asked Connie if she would like to do some ‘assigned’ challenges...I was needing a little kick in the pants to get stamping again. She picked the color challenge and I picked the sketch.
I found this wonderful card on Prairie Paper and Ink. I knew that at some point, I wanted to do this sketch. Connie proposed that the colors be So Saffron, Bashful Blue and either Old Olive or Certainly Celery. I immediately decided that I was going to use my boat from Nursery Necessities and Cutie Pie paper. Did you notice where I started and where I ended aren’t related at all? LOL!!! That happens to me all the time!
I went to my paper stash to get the Cutie Pie paper and this paper from Summer Picnic was on top...hmmm… I said...colors are right, time for Plan B. Then I decided the boat really wouldn’t work with the flowers so I opened my stamp drawers to find and image and for some odd reason this set was on top. Okay...that works for me. I stamped the image with StazOn JetBlack ink and then colored with my markers. I cut it out with the Coluzzle and then did the So Saffron layer with the Coluzzle too! The scallop is from the Die Cut Flower sheets in the Occasions Mini (did you know...you only have until June 30th to get things from the mini?) I have used these some...and I REALLY like them...I just don’t remember to use them! I added Old Olive 5/8” grosgrain ribbon and then instead of putting the brads on the lower portion of the main image, I decided I wanted mine in the upper portion. I finished it off with the greeting from Fundamental Phrases. At the last minute I decided it needed some glitter so added that to the flowers. That’s about all there is!
Happy Stampin’

I like the idea of using the 3/4” circles making it look like a scallop.
