The challenge over on Splitcoast was for using birds in your design.  With school being back in session I’ve had little time to do stamping just for fun.  Since I really haven’t had time to stamp, I thought I’d share a card we did at my card class last Saturday.  I have to say, this was one of my favorites from the class!  Read more about it inside…

How cool is this?  And SOOOOO easy to do!  The base of the card is So Saffron.  I picked three of the patterns from the Sweet Pea dsp (what can I say…it is a SERIOUS addiction with me right now) and layered the pieces on Chocolate Chip and then to the card front.  Next I tied a Dusty Durango Polka Dotted ribbon around the top.  So next I took one of the Kisses Love Notes and sponged around the edges using Chocolate Chip.  And now…one to the FABULOUS NEW 2 STEP BIRD PUNCH!!!  Do you have it yet?  You don’t???  What ARE you waiting for!  LOL!!!  Okay I punched the body of the bird out of Taken with Teal, the wing from Pumpkin Pie and the branch from Old Olive.  I sponged around the edges of each piece and attached to the Kisses Notes and then the card front using dimensionals.  Since this card was part of my add your own greeting class, I stamped happy birthday from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White, punched with word window punch and sponged around the edges using Chocolate Chip.  This is layered onto a Taken with Teal Modern Label punch which was sponged with Chocolate Chip.  Now…don’t you NEED to make one of these!

Happy Stampin’!
