Welcome to stop #5 of the Tour de Freak tour!  I’m SO glad you stopped by!  I have some special projects I’ve been saving up just for this event!  Check them all out by clicking on the link “Read about this project”.

Stop #4 was my friend (and one of my online challenge buddies) Connie over at Inkspired Treasures.  If you are going backward through the tour, click here to get to her wonderful projects!  And now…on to what I have to share!

We received this set in Hawaii and did all of our make and takes with it.  I have to say…of all the sets I have EVER received from Stampin’ Up! as an incentive or event set, this is my TOTAL FAV!!!!  The set is call “For All You Do” and since it has a butterfly in it (not used on this card), of course I LOVED it!  I decided to use this set for my projects to share with you today featuring the new incolors.

(Click on the card on the right hand side to see the full view!)  This card features two of the new incolors - Melon Mambo and Soft Suede.  The base of the card is the Melon Mambo and I stamped the medium flower with Melon Mambo and the small flower with the Soft Suede.  I stamped the stem on a piece of whisper white - I used Old Olive and Melon Mambo markers to ink.  The large flower was stamped on a piece of whisper white using Melon Mambo and then cut out.  A vintage brad is in the center and it is attached using a dimensional.  The small flower is stamped using Melon Mambo, cut out and attached with a glue dot.  I took a strip of Regal Rose and used the scallop edge border punch on it.  This was attached behind the white card stock.  The polka dot Soft Suede ribbon is tied around it and then the whole thing is layered onto a piece of Soft Suede.  This is attached to the card front using dimensionals.  I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny (something or another) using Soft Suede ink onto Regal Rose and punched with the curly label punch.  I slid this under the flower layer.  If you have your new catalog, look on page 44.  This card was inspired by the card on there.  I LOVE using my catalog for inspiration!

image  Okay…I have to tell you upfront, I was REALLY in a ‘catalog CASEing kind of mood’ when I was working on these projects.  Open your book to page 71 and you’ll see the inspiration for this card!  The base of the card is Dusty Durango.  I stamped a strip of the Crushed Curry with the small flower from this set using Crushed Curry ink.  I then tied a piece of the Soft Suede Polka Dotted ribbon on there.  The stem is stamped with Old Olive on a piece of Very Vanilla.  For the two big flowers I inked the flower with Crushed Curry and then the dotted stamp with Soft Suede and ‘kissed’ before stamping and cutting out.  The centers of the flowers are the small neutral brads.  The two small flowers are inked with Dusty Durango then ‘rock and rolled’ into the Soft Suede before stamping and cutting.  Vintage brads are used in the centers of these flowers.  Finally the greeting is stamped using Soft Suede.  This is layered onto a piece of Chocolate Chip and I used my scallop edge punch on a piece of Crushed Curry and layered that behind.  Ooooo…I do LOVE cutting things out!

And now for my final project!  I LOVE purple!  It’s my all time favorite color!  And Rich Razzleberry is just such an excellent color ESPECIALLY paired with Bermuda Bay!  Now if you happened to be fortunate enough to get to go on that FABULOUS Hawaii incentive trip, this might look somewhat familiar as I took one of the cards we did for our mnt and used that as my stamped design.  (Besides cutting out….I REALLY LOVE to CASE!)  I got the idea for the little mini card holder over on Stampin’ Addicts (here’s the link to the tutorial - check it out!).  The base of holder is Bermuda Bay and I made a little box to fit inside to hold the 3x3 cards and envelopes.  The large flower is inked with Rich Razzleberry, stamped off TWICE, then I used Rich Razzleberry (full strength) to do ‘kissing’ with the dot stamp.  One small flower is inked with Rich Razzleberry, stamped off once and then rock and rolled into Rich Razzleberry.  The other is Rich Razzleberry stamped off once and then rock and rolled into Bermuda Bay.  A vintage brad is the center for each of the flowers.  The brackets and sentiment is stamped using Bermuda Bay.  There is a piece of Old Olive cardstock torn along the edge and layered underneath and Rich Razzleberry Polka Dotted ribbon along the top.  The handle is created with the large oval punch and the scallop oval punch (how DID we live without this punch????).  I did make a set of cards to go inside the little holder and here’s a picture of the whole project.
