Interesting title isn’t it?  This is my swap card that wasn’t…yep…a reject.  I make those too!  This is the first card I made with my Season of Friendship set and was going to use it for my FREAKS swap.

I was SOOOOO happy to have my swap card designed shortly after getting my set and then on top of it, it was going to be a quick card.  After I designed it, I let it sit there for awhile because it wasn’t due right away and I had other things that needed to get done.  Well, before I knew it, I realized I HAD to get my swap done and get it mailed as the deadline was quickly approaching.  I pulled it out to get started and realized I had done so many other fun things with this set that this card now looked very bland.  Don’t get me wrong…it’s still a good card.  It just no longer seemed ‘swap worthy’ (especially for this exceedingly talented group of ladies!).  So on Friday I sat down and designed a brand new card (definitely swap worthy!) and spent the afternoon and evening making them so I could get them in the mail Saturday!

Okay…enough of my swap story…on to the card.  It’s so…..simple!  I do like simple!  The base is So Saffron layered onto Chocolate Chip.  I cut the squares out of the Autumn paper in the Holiday Mini.  I do love the color combo used on the paper - Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, More Mustard and Sage Shadow so those where the colors I picked for the tree.  All of this is stamped on whisper white then layered onto a piece of Chocolate Chip.  The sentiment is stamped onto a piece of Sage Shadow, then attached with a More Mustard ribbon.  I stamped the bird on a scrap of whisper white using Really Rust ink and attached with a glue.

So to all you FREAKS out there…here’s the swap card you AREN’T getting.  The one you are….well, it doesn’t look ANYTHING like this!  I do have to wait to post that one until the freaks have received their swaps back.  So until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
