Stitched Exotics
FINALLY
Why do I say FINALLY? Because I FINALLY got to use Stitched Exotics! Boy do I every like this set! (Bet you didn’t know that!)
So this was a sketch and a color challenge. The sketch was a Mojo Monday sketch and the color combo was to use the colors in the Bali Breeze designer series paper (Purely Pomegranate, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise). When I think Bali Breeze paper, I think tropical which means I think Stitched Exotics (see how that works!). I stamped the flowers and leaves in the colors above on Whisper White and then cut out. I stamped the greeting (from the All Holidays set) on a base of Whisper White and then layered my Flowers on top. I think Basic Black really makes these colors ‘pop’ so I added the black as the flower centers.
The Old Olive base card is stamped with the Stitched background using Old Olive ink. I just love how this stamp can be so subtle. I did use some of the Bali Breeze paper for the strips on each side. I like how this design went along with the ‘stitched’ theme I had going. I used 1/4” basic black circles on the side and then 1/2” colored circles along the bottom. Oh...I do feel a need to point out that the card has absolutely NO ribbon on it!
Happy Stampin’!
