Season of Friendship - Winter
If you remember I did a Season of Friendship card for spring, summer and fall and said I still needed to do one for winter. Well here you go! This was a card I made for the Control Freak swap group I’m in. The card that I labeled -“the swap the wasn’t” had been my original idea for this group.
Oh…I had fun with this one. I started with a bashful blue base. Then I stamped a strip of riding hood red with the snowflake from this set. I use riding hood red ink on that. Next I used the scallop edge punch along the side, layered a strip of basic black behind it then attached it to the base. To make the tree panel…first stamp the tree using StazOn JetBlack ink. It is really important that you use the stazon and not the classic black. I used shimmery white paper (oh so pretty in real life) but you could also use whisper white. Next randomly stamp the snowflakes using versamark, cover with clear embossing powder and heat emboss. Now brayer bashful blue ink over the entire panel until you get the shade of blue you want. I layered this onto a piece of shimmery white and then basic black. I stamped the little birdie on a scrap of shimmery white using riding hood red, cut out and attached using a glue dot. I stamped the greeting on a piece of riding hood red layered it onto the panel, punched a hole and tied a piece of riding hood red taffeta ribbon on there. I then attached the panel to the card front.
Whew…it did take some time to make 30 of these but I was really pleased with the final results. I absolutely LOVE this tree because it really is perfect for any season! Hope you didn’t forget to turn back your clocks and I hope you enjoyed your extra hour of sleep! So until next time…happy stampin’!

I love your card. Can’t believe you made 30 of them. That is a lot of steps for so many cards, I’m impressed.
