It is a tradition that when you go to convention, you give a gift to your roommate.  One because you REALLY like them and two because of them you can actually AFFORD to go to convention!  LOL!!!  (Just kidding about that second one...it’s because you REALLY like them!!!)

I wanted something REALLY special for my roommates.  This was the second year that we roomed together.  You see this is how it happened.  Last year I REALLY wanted to go to convention but didn’t have anyone to go with.  I was talking with Lisa (my swap mom from the Control Freaks group) and she wanted to go to convention but didn’t have anyone to room with either.  Well, we chat ALL THE TIME online so we decided it would be lots of fun to room together.  Then her friend Shona (who is also in our group) decided to go too so we all roomed together.

Because Shona ended up being really sick the ENTIRE convention last year her husband decided she needed a ‘do over’!  Isn’t he a nice guy!  Well...since she had to have a do over...so did Lisa and I.  We were all good this year (Lisa’s back was acting up but otherwise good) and just had a grand time.  Well last year while we were in Denver, Lisa and Shona just HAD to go shopping for purses (these girls are SERIOUSLY ADDICTED...not me...one purse lasts me YEARS).  As I said in the other other post they are also SERIOUSLY ADDICTED to bling!  I had gone out to Michael’s to see if I could find ANYTHING that would work as a roomie gift.  I came across these purses from the Be Elements collection and armed with my coupon I purchased two of them.  Since the only ‘new’ stuff I had was the Bella Rose paper I used that.  I had a blast making these and then adding ‘bling’ just for them.  They were a tad bit time consuming...but they are worth it!
