Medallion Emerging Color
Here is a card I demoed on Sunday at a workshop. I LOVE this medallion stamp but just haven’t used it as much as I have wanted to. I love the bold design of it and find that it is really a versatile stamp. The emerging color, done on dsp is such a quick and easy technique.
I took a piece of the Bella Blue dsp and stamped the Medallion using Versamark, covered with clear embossing powder and heat embossed. You want to make sure you have your image completely embossed. Sometimes it is difficult because it is hard to see when embossing on dsp with clear like this. Next to do the emerging color, you take a dark ink and brayer over the image. For this card I chose Chocolate Chip. You keep brayering over it until your color is nice and dark. Now at this point it doesn’t look all that great. Take a tissue and wipe the ink off the embossed image. You color underneath will then ‘emerge’. Clever…huh? To finish this card off I mounted it on a piece of Very Vanilla and then tied Brocade Blue 5/8” ribbon around it. This is mounted to a Brocade Blue card base. I inked the sentiment using Chocolate Chip and Brocade Blue markers, stamped on Very Vanilla and punched out with the large oval punch. This is mounted onto a kraft scallop oval and then onto the cardfront using dimensionals. VERY quick and easy card but with alot of WOW!!!
Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
