This card is based on a card I made for my Fab Four swap!  You can see the original card here.  I wanted to make up a couple quick cards in case I needed a swap card and the original one was so much fun I decided to ‘case’ myself!

Do you LOVE this color combo?  I absolutely LOVE it!!!  Let me tell you a story about it.  Many years ago I saw a picture in a magazine using the color combo of red, orange and blue.  It was just SO striking that I started using Real Red, Only Orange and Ballet Blue as a cool color combo.  As will all my ‘very favorite color combos’, I used it for awhile (okay...until people were REALLY sick of it!) and then sort of forgot about it.  Before convention I was in my back bedroom cleaning it out (my sister and dad are coming down to visit...I’m SOOOO excited!!!) and found a beaded pen I had done with this color combo and said to myself...wow...I REALLY like that look but it needs to be updated!  So out to my stamping desk I went and cleaned it off so I had a good 3 square inches (yep...that would be inches) to work on!  I decided to keep the Real Red but change the Only Orange to Pumpkin Pie.  COOOL!!!!  Next for the blue...oh my...Pacific Point was calling my name (no...really Cindy it was!!!) so I added that to my mix.  Add in a little Basic Black and these colors positively POP off the page!  AMAZING!!!

Actually I started with a card that ended up being my Control Freak swap card (sorry...can’t post that yet but PROMISE to do it once my fellow swappers have received theirs...I LOVE the card I did for that!) and then used that same combo with this one.  The Pacific Point is such a unique blue...so different from any that we have.  Cindy calls it tarp blue...yep...that’s a good description but it is a beautiful shade!

Sorry it has taken me awhile to get back into posting.  I had a little ‘traveler’s lag’ from that LONG trip home!  Now I’m working on getting things together for my annual Open House...oh...the fun!  I ordered my Big Shot and it will be here tomorrow.  Oh YEA!!!!!  Stay tuned for the gifts I made for my roommates (hi Lisa and Shona!)

Happy Stampin’!
