What the heck is being Zindorffed you ask?  Well, that is spending a totally wonderful day with Michelle Zindorf, along with Connie Babbert and Karen Barber, and learning Michelle’s truly stunning brayered sky technique.  Here’s a card I made once I came home...click below to see what else I did with this technique.

It was such a wonderful stamping time!  I’ve known Connie for a couple years now (and she is the Connie that I do the online challenge with along with Lisa).  Karen recently joined out Control Freak swap group and I met her for the first time at Leadership in California.  Karen made friends with Michelle and had invited her along when the three of us decided to get together.  (okay...still with me?) Now stay tuned over the next couple posts for the projects Karen (very cool black and white technique) and Connie (adorable pants box) had us to.

Okay...so back to being Zindorffed (or is it Zindorf’d...hmmmm....).  First, this technique is NOT for the weak of arm!  This is the card that Michelle had us make…

Isn’t this BEAUTIFUL!!!!  Now before I get asked this...no...these are NOT SU stamps (see I CAN actually use other stamps - LOL!).  For details on how to make this card, please visit Michelle’s blog, she has the most incredible tutorials!  I was so excited when I came home, I immediately made this card…

The colors are Soft Sky, Not Quite Navy, Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa for the brayering technique.  The tree is stamped with Basic Black and then I used Old Olive and Close to Cocoa marker to ‘color’ the trees.  The ‘ribbon’ is the Chocolate Chip Poly Twill in the Occasions Mini (act quick...this goes away on June 30th - MONDAY!)

The card on the home page I REALLY like!  I used the Essence of Love set that is in the Occasions Mini....I just love the silhouette look with this technique.  (I need more nature stamps!) After I brayered and stamped my piece, I cut it into squares.  The original piece was 3 3/4” by 3 3/4” so I cut it into 1 1/4” squares.  I then mounted this onto Basic Black (I think it makes it pop!).  Karen had us using Kraft paper in her card so I decided to pull that out for this card and I think it really works on the base.

Oh...one last picture…

Connie suggested we go to the Morgan Tea House for lunch.  What a truly wonderful place!  Going around the table starting at front left is Michelle Zindorf, then Karen Barber behind her, then me on the right in the back and then Connie in the front on the right.  I’m really looking forward to us getting together to stamp!

Happy stamping!
