I’m Back!!!!
Thanks so much everyone for hanging in there until my new improved blog was up and ready to go! There are still some ‘glitches’ in there but Rand will continue to work on them. One of the problems is not being able to access the ‘old’ blog and all the postings in there. He is working on that. I’ll let you know when you can access those again. So...want to know more about the card? Click on the link below!
This is a card that I did at a card class and at my club Tuesday night. This is a simple layout that I’ve seen many times so don’t know who to ‘credit’ with the design. Most of the ones I’ve seen used smaller colored blocks. This is a great design because it works with colored cardstock or designer series paper. One this card you would just need to change out the Regal Rose cardstock and it could be easily used for a boy! The card base is Whisper White (sometimes we forget that that works too!). The colored squares are 1 3/4” x 1 3/4”. During the classes folks could pick between using a number (from the Big Deal Number set) or a small heart from the Big Bold Birthday set. The cupcake is stamped with Wild Wasabi (for the base) and Regal Rose (for the icing) and then attached to the card with a dimensional. As usual I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to place the greeting!
So a quick card and a fun layout for everyone! The members of the Tuesday night stamp club are using this layout for the swap cards next month. I can’t wait to see what they come up with! They are getting SO GOOD at using the sketches!
Happy Stampin’ and welcome to the site everyone!
