As I said a couple days ago, SU is giving $2 from every I {Heart} Heart set sold to the Haitian Relief Fund.  Sometimes with a set like this we tend to only think “Valentine’s Day” when it is just a great all around set.  I did this to participate in a sketch challenge on SU Connection.  As you know if you’ve been following my blog, this is one of the color combos I’m sort of ‘stuck’ on right now.  Anyway…click inside for more info!

I think this is a happy card!  I really do {heart} this color combo!  The base of the card is So Saffron stamped with the dotted outline heart in So Saffron.  I stamped a piece of Very Vanilla first with the filigree heart in So Saffron, then the polka dot heart in Dusty Durango and the the dot outline heart in Basic Grey.  I mounted this on a piece of Dusty Durango.  Next I tied Dusty Durango, Grey taffeta and Apricot 1/4” ribbon around the piece.  I took a piece of Basic Grey and used the SAB Scallop Trim edge punch on one side.  I pierced down both sides and mounted behind the stamped panel and then to the card front.  The Basic Grey scallop circle is from the Pennant die (LOVE that size).  On this I layered a 1 3/4” So Saffron Circle.  I stamped the ‘friend’ heart twice…once in Dusty Durango (that I punched out with Full Heart punch) and once in Basic Grey which I cut out the word friend and layered onto the heart.  I finished it off with a couple rhinestones from the Eggcellent Egg kit.

A big thank you to all of you who have already bought the I {Heart} Hearts set (either from me or from your demonstrator).  Every little bit helps.  I read on the SU site today that they purchased supplies for 5,000 hygiene kits; a few of their vendors also donated supplies for these kits. Stampin’ Up! employees assembled the kits last week, and the kits will be sent to Haiti through a relief organization already working in Haiti.  How AWESOME is that!

Okay…hope you are having a good day.  Happy Stampin’!
