Holiday Card Class 7
Here’s the last of the Christmas cards from my Holiday Card Class this past Saturday. I absolutely LOVE pink snowflakes! No…REALLY I do. I also heard a number of the folks on Saturday commenting how much they liked this one too.
Okay…so card where the photo doesn’t do it justice! The base of the card is Pink Pirouette…this is such a soft, pretty pink. My poor Pretty in Pink has been SOOOOO lonely since this new in-color ‘came to town’. We stamped the medium size snowflake from Snow Swirled using Pink Pirouette and then the small snowflake using Regal Rose. This next step is the most important…LIGHTLY TAP WITH YOUR EMBOSSING BUDDY!!! This help to dry the ink so that the silver embossing powder won’t stick everywhere. Now stamp the large snowflake with versamark and emboss in silver. The greeting was also stamped with versamark and embossed in silver. A strip of brushed silver was layered on the top of this piece. We used the scallop edge punch on another strip of brushed silver for along the bottom. Elastic cord was tied in a bow along the side and then the whole piece was attached to the Pink Pirouette base. Yep…that’s all there is too it.
Here’s a great little tip….when tying a bow with thin cord like our elastic cord or our old silver or gold cord, put a little dab of crystal effects or glue on the knot when finished. This keeps it from coming undone!
So now…do you like pink snowflakes too? I do! Tomorrow I’ll share our Thanksgiving card we did. Until then…happy stampin’!
