Holiday Card Class 6
Getting close to the end of the cards from my Holiday Card Class this past Saturday. This would definitely come under the category of ‘not quite traditional’ colors but it was one of my favorites.
First…I think the Holy Triptych set is SOOO elegant and I was happy that it made it into the big catalog. We stamped the image with Night of Navy CRAFT and embossed with clear embossing powder. The image is colored in using elegant eggplant, night of navy and sahara sand. Folks could pick which of the images they wanted to use from the set as all three worked well with this design. The card base is sahara sand with I think 1” cut off the right hand side. The designer paper is from Urban Garden…no…really it is! The other side is in no way Christmas but I thought this print was perfect for a Christmas card. Since I was really working on having non-bumpy cards (so they would mail better) instead of any ribbon I used a strip of sahara sand paper on the image to give the appearance of a ribbon. The corners are punched with the ticket corner punch. The main image and the card base are sponged with sahara sand ink.
Peace Love Joy comes from the All Holidays set. We also stamped that with the night of navy CRAFT in and embossed with clear embossing powder. This was done on a piece of Bordering Blue paper. The greeting was then punch out with the wide oval punch (don’t you just LOVE this punch!) and mounted onto the card front. So there you have a somewhat non-traditional colors Christmas card using a definitely NON-Christmas dsp!
Stay tuned tomorrow for my favorite one…until then…Happy Stampin’!
