Oh...I just LOVE this color combination!  Now that folks are receiving their swaps, I can post this one.  This was for my Control Freak swap (freaks for short).

I had posted a card a little earlier using the Deer Friends set that uses this color combo.  I think the Pacific Point is just the perfect blue with the Real Red and Pumpkin Pie.  The black in there makes the colors just pop!  Along with the Happiness Always set, I also used the Polka Dotted background and the Text and Texture set.  The “Life is Good” is stamped with CRAFT black and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The Polka Dotted background was stamped using VersaMark ink after I had already attached the colors to the black.  I used one of the jumbo eyelets in the large tag.  I then used Pumpkin striped ribbon with a piece of Linen thread to tie it in place.

The background technique is called ‘color blocking’ and I have used this on a number of cards.  I do like the look of the blocks of color on a card.  I like lots and lots of color!  I’m working on getting things ready for Open House on Monday and Tuesday.  Things are starting to come together.  Oh the fun things we will do!
