Good-bye…
Hodgepodge Hardware!
First...aren’t these totally DELIGHTFUL cards? They were designed by the VERY TALENTED Karen Barber. You can visit her site here. Read more about her cool black and white magic technique and the Hodgepodge Hardware sale by stamping up by clicking below.
First...the sale! Stampin’ Up! is retiring the three Hodgepodge Hardware kits in the current catalog. While supplies last, you can get the kit for 25% off - reg $27.95, sale price $20.96. If you are interested in getting any of these kits contact me NOW be they run out of supplies! Don’t the oval frames look so cute on these cards?
Okay...so Karen couldn’t decide which color combo she liked best - the red or the blue. She liked the red one best and her friend Cindy Lawrence (hi Cindy) liked the blue one best. In our little group of four - 2 liked the blue best and 2 the red. See they are both WONDERFUL! This card uses Karen favorite technique (for now) called black and white magic. The short of it is you stamp a solid image on black paper using white kraft ink. Let dry. Color with Pure Color Pencils then outline (and make dots) using your white gel pen. The final result is SOOOO COOOOOOOL!!! Don’t you just LOVE it!
I just love the use of the Kraft paper on both of these. I really hadn’t used them much until this year when SU started to use that paper on pretty much EVERYTHING and it sort of grew on me. The ‘red’ card is Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black and Kraft. The ‘blue’ on is Ballet Blue, Old Olive, Basic Black and Kraft. I am definitely going to have to play with this technique some more.
Oh, by the way...today I get some NEW RUBBER!!!!!!! (Just had to throw that in there!) Happy Stampin’!
