Look at what I just got!  (Okay...I got a couple new sets but this is the first one I played with.) I just love how how you can make a really elegant card with this simple image.  We are going to be using this set for at least one (maybe two) cards in my June card class.  Stay tune for more details on that one.  Want to learn more about the card?  Click below.

You know, I recently realized I had not used my River Rock (aka ‘runny baby poop’!) in quite some time so decided that I needed to pull that out and use it.  Paired with Whisper White and Basic Black, the result is VERY elegant!  I stamped the main image in River Rock on a 3” x 3 1/4” piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Using my stamp-a-ma-jig, I stamped the “my dear, kind and wonderful friend” on top of the image using Basic Black ink.  This is layered onto a 3 1/2” x 3 3/4” piece of acetate (you know...overhead projection sheets).  The card base is a 4 1/4” x 11” piece of River Rock folded.  I stamper the butterfly from this set using River Rock ink.  The strip of Basic Black is 1 3/4” x 4 1/4”.  Ribbon is the River Rock double-stitched ribbon.  The image is layered onto the card front using dimensionals.

I just love the clean, simple look of this card.  You could easily change the sentiment and the card would be appropriate for so many different occasions!

Just a reminder to all of my customers...the time for the availability of the 2008 ‘in-colors’ is quickly coming to an end (River Rock, Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, Groovy Guava, and Purely Pomegranate).  If you really like one (or ALL) of the colors, order your reinker and extra paper NOW!  Don’t wait until they announce their retirement list because it goes REALLY quickly!

Happy Stampin’!
