This was one of the first items I made with this set. The colors are Ruby Red, Cameo Coral, Chocolate Chip and Very Vanilla. The Chocolate Chip paper behind the cake I wet, crumbled and then opened it up and let it dry. I wanted to use my hodgepodge hardware and also the twill and this is what I came up with. Overall it is a VERY simple card...but sometimes, that is the best!
It’s really kind of fun to look back on things I made a couple years ago to see how my ‘style’ has changed. I’ve always had a pretty simple style overall but the industry has also come so far with new embellishments and stamp styles. Maybe someday I’ll find one of the very first cards I’ve ever stamped and if I do...I’ll post it! Oh...but don’t hold your breathe...I probably don’t have it anymore! LOL!!!
Guess what? I just finished with my summer quarter classes...well, the campus ones, still have my online ones! WOO HOO!!!!! I’m SOOO ready for my summer break to start!

Hi Mary! I’m glad your summer break is almost here! I love reading about each of your cards. They are all great and I usually get a great chuckle.
I really like the color combo on this one. Isn’t it great that this set is so versatile to be able to be a cake or a flower pot!!! I had a thought as I was looking at this - what if you cut out the cake part on the white and the ruby red under it so that the crumpled brown could show through. It might look like icing!
