One of the items in the Occasions Mini is the Carousel Notes (#111344 - $11.95).  I just LOVE this item!  You get 12 notes (these are single sheets only and not cards that open) - 4 Groovy Guava, 4 Wild Wasabi, 4 Soft Sky - and 12 Chocolate Chip envelopes.  There is just so much that you can do with these!  Over the next couple of days I’m going to share with you some of the projects I’ve demoed at workshops in March and April using this item.

This is the first item I made with my Carousel Notes.  Now and important thing to know is the Pick-a-Petal Classy Brass template works PERFECTLY with the notes!  I used the classy brass template to emboss the ‘dots’ on the petals (used my crop-a-dile along with the template) and then to pierce the circle.  I don’t like the dots close together so I pierced every other one.  The notes coordinate wonderfully with the Afternoon Tea designer series paper.  I used my Coluzzle to cut a circle from the designer series paper and then from some Whisper White paper.  I just love the Stitched Exotics set (and didn’t own Live Your Dreams at that time) so I stamped and cut out flowers and leaves.  Finally I used the greeting from the SAB Lots of Thoughts set.  I wanted my card to ‘open’ so I attached my circles with a single gold brad and this allows the card to swing revealing the greeting underneath.
