Carousel Note - Card Holder
When I saw this idea posted on Andrea Walford’s site, I just KNEW I had to make one of this. This ended up not only being a demo for April/May workshops was also a challenge that Lisa, Connie and I did.
Start with a carousel note and and score along the sides and bottom at about 1 1/2”. You want to go to the closest petal. You cut the bottom corners off and then just fold the sides in and the bottom up. After that, you just decorate any way you want! I really like the color combo of Soft Sky, Kraft and So Saffron. Since I made this in March, I used the Wheely special of the Wonderful You set and matching wheel. I wheeled along the left side with the wheel in Soft Sky and then sponged all the edges using Soft Sky ink. I also used the Pick-a-Petal brass template to dry emboss circles in the petals at the top. I stamped the flower from the Wonderful You set in Soft Sky, then in Basic Grey on top. I cut that out and added three So Saffron brads in the center. Again I used the Pick-a-Petal brass template to create the pierced circle and punched that out with the 1 3/8” circle punch. Finally I punched a scallop circle from So Saffron cardstock. The white gel pen was used to add the dots. The strip holding it together was made from Kraft cardstock with a piece of Kraft Taffeta ribbon tied around it.
Thanks Amy for giving us such a wonderful idea!
