Bright Delights Rub Ons 2
So here is the second card I designed for the Rub On class that I’m not going to offer. If you really look at it you might be able to figure out why? Haven’t figured it out? Read the article and find out!
So I had designed my tree card and REALLY liked it and thought “what a fun class this is going to be”. Then I decided to do an owl card and was going through my paper to find some that would work nicely with the owls. I picked out this paper and just loved how nicely it worked with it. Unfortunately it wasn’t until the I made the project after this one that I figure out my ‘oops’...this is RETIRED PAPER!!! Yep…this paper was in the Fall/Winter catalog and was Hawaiian Papaya! Well…DRAT…it goes PERFECTLY with these rub-ons. Since I didn’t figure it out until the card after this one it was too late to redo everything.
So the base of the card is Tangerine Tango. I used the top note die with some Kiwi Kiss and some of the (RETIRED) Hawaiian Papaya dsp. The large owl is put directly on the dsp. The little owl is on a 1 1/4” white square layered one a scallop square. I took another piece of the (RETIRED) Hawaiian Papaya and used the eyelet border punch along the edge. I then wrapped a piece of the the wide double stitched chocolate ribbon and then tied a piece of Kiwi Kiss striped grosgrain around it. Last, but not least is the rub on greeting on a large oval white piece layered onto a chocolate scallop oval.
DANG…it was going to be such a GOOD class! Stay tuned for the final card (when I finally figured out me mistake). Happy Stampin’!
