Hope you are enjoying this set!

I just love this set and am REALLY glad I broke down and bought it.  (Absolutely NO SELF CONTROL whatsoever!) I bet you’ll never guess what?  This was a challenge with my friends Lisa and Connie!

Both the sketch and the color challenge was from the Poetic Artistry site.  Her sketches are SOOO wonderful!  The color scheme is Soft Sky, Cameo Coral, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive (oh my Jackie...look at ALL those colors!).  I will admit, it was a bit tough getting that Pumpkin in there for me.  I stamped the flower with StazOn JetBlack ink and colored with the Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive.  Then I stamped the ‘blossom’ block in So Saffron over the stem.  I decided that I liked how the Basic Grey worked with these color so I used this for my layers. I put together the pieces of Cameo Coral, Soft Sky and So Saffron and then stamped on it using the Pretty Petals background stamp and Versamark ink to get a subtle look.  The Celebrate YOU is stamped with Basic Grey ink.  This is from the “A Little Birthday Cheer” word set.

Now what’s this on the what you ask?  Is that SU?  Those of you who know me well know that I am a TOTAL SU snob!  I LOVE all their stuff!  But I have to admit, I’m really conflicted on this one...I just LOVE the look you get with the Cuttlebug!  So I’ve decided to ‘come out of the closet’ on this one and will be periodically using my Cuttlebug on cards that I show on here.  This will be one of the VERY FEW non-SU things you will see on here.  Because I really and truly LOVE the SU stuff!  (Now if only SU would come out with folders to use in my cuttlebug...what can I say...HEAVEN!!!  Could you imagine it?  WOW!!!)
