Best Wishes & More 1
Here’s a card from that same ‘play time’ with Connie and Lisa as my last posting. Unfortunately I don’t remember where we got the sketch but we decide we also had to use the Juntos paper (from the Spanish catalog—OOOOOOH…SO pretty!).
Connie’s and Lisa’s cards were really similar. You can see Connie’s here. Lisa hasn’t posted hers or I would link you to that too! Anyway, I was trying to find a leaf stamp to use and was looking at the “Best Wishes and More” set…LOVE this set! For those of you who are my customers and part of my holiday email program you’ll be seeing more of this set so stay tuned! The base of the card is More Mustard. The leaves are stamped in More Mustard, Really Rust, Always Artichoke and Chocolate Chip and then of course cut out because I just LOVE to cut things out. “So Glad We’re Friends” is from the Best Yet Level 1 Hostess set…what a delightful set! Remember it’s easy to have a catalog party and your only need a $150 party to earn this great Level 1 set! I used my oval coluzzle to make the very vanilla base for the greeting and leaves. With the dsp, I layered the one onto Always Artichoke and the other onto Really Rust. I did this instead of what I normally layer on (Chocolate Chip) and I like that it is a little more subtle. I tied a piece of Chocolate 5/8” grosgrain ribbon around the card and before I finished the knot, I added a piece of Mustard and Artichoke 1/4” grosgrain ribbon. The card was then finished off with 3 gold brads along the upper left of the oval. I think that really gives it a nice look.
I really enjoy doing the challenges with Lisa and Connie. It would be great to be able to do them more often and they are always so last miniute when we get a chance to do them. So until next time…as always…Happy Stampin’!
