You know one of the things I just HAD to have when the new mini came out was the Winter Wishes Stitched Felt pieces.  So they have been sitting there feeling lonely and I thought not only were they PERFECT for Mary Jo’s sketch for today but they are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for my October Blog Hop projects that will be up here on Thursday the 20th!  You don’t want to miss them.

Mary Jo just has a way of making sketches that are perfect for things that I need to use and the timing on this sketch was just perfect for the wreath in the felt pieces.  I was so happy with the way this turned out by added the ‘bark’ dsp from the Frostwood Lodge dsp.

The base of the card is Wild Wasabi.  I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler and added an Early Espresso Scallop Edge Strip along the side.  Next I added the white ‘bark’ and wrapped a piece of Real Red 5/8” Satin ribbon around it and added it to the card front.  I stamped the greeting using Early Espresso on Whisper White and punched out using the 1 3/4” Circle punch.  I attached this to the back of the wreath.  I made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using the Real Red 5/8” Satin Ribbon and a green rhinestone brad, punched a hole in the wreath using my crop-a-dile, added the bow then added the wreath to the card front using dimensionals.

So…if you want to see more items made with the felt pieces, make sure you stop by on Thrusday for the Control Freak Blog Hop.

Here’s what others are doing with Mary Jo’s sketch…

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
