First…did you know that PREVIEW for Create with Connie and Mary Holiday Edition 2011 begins tomorrow?  And did you know that I am the first one to share my project?  I’M SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!!!!

Well…this started out as a CAS card but I think I went just a tad overboard.  The CAS challenge on SCS today was to use shoes.  Now…I didn’t think I had any shoes and as I was paging through my catalog this was the ONLY shoes I had in my stash!  Sad…very sad!  But then in real life I only own 2 pairs of shoes (a white pair of tennis shoes and a black pair of tennis shoes…NOT a typical female I guess!).  I found this great card in the SU catalog on page 90 and used that as my inspiration.

The bas of the card is Whisper White and I ran it through the Polka Dotted Embossing Folder.  I layered on a piece of Tangerine Tango.  Next I took a piece of Cajun Craze 1 1/4” Striped Grosgrain Ribbon and folded it (used Sticky Strip to hold in place) and added to the card front.  Next I took the spider print from the Frightful Sight dsp and added Scallop Trim edge strips to each side and layered it onto the card front.  I inked the greeting using Cajun Craze, Basic Black, Peach Parfait and Old Olive markers, stamp on Whisper White, punched with the Decorative Label punch and layered onto the Peach Parfait and layered onto the card front.  I stamped the witches shoes using Basic Black and colored using Cajun Craze and Old Olive markers.  I cut this out and layered using dimensionals.
