On Friday I REALLY liked the little treat holder I made.  I liked it SOOOO much that I decided to use the medallion design for my card for Mary Jo’s Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch challenge!  It was the perfect element for her design!

Okay I have to say…LOVE this sketch!  I already have plans to use it again later this month.  I love all the layers for the main element but it really isn’t an overwhelming element.  So…you can see with a little layering that medallion from the treat box really was perfect.  I kept all the colors the same and I was good to go!

The base of the card is Soft Suede.  I took my FAVORITE print from the Spice Cake dsp (the same one Iused on my box), layered it on Very Vanilla and then to the card front.  I stamped the wreath from the Holiday Mini Hostess set Warmest of Wishes using Early Espresso on Very Vanilla and then colored the ‘open leaves’ using Pool Party marker.  I punched the center of the wreath out using the 1 1/4” circle punch then the wreath iteself using the 2 3/8” Scallop Circle Punch.  I sponged around the edges using Soft Suede.  I made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon and a metallic brad and added to the wreath.  I then punched out a 1 3/4” Soft Suede Circle and a layered the wreath on there using a shaker frame circle.  I stamped the greeting from Petite Pairs using Early Espresso on Pool Party, punched with the 1” Circle Punch and added it to the center of the wreath using the small circle from the Shaker Frames.  I took a Soft Suede Decorative Label in Soft Suede, cut in half and added to the card front (so it would stick out on each side of the wreath).  Next I added a piece of that YUMMY Very Vanilla Velvet Ribbon.  I finished off the card by adding the wreath using dimensionals.

Yep…I am going to DEFINITELY have to use this GREAT sketch again!  Here’s what others are doing with Mary Jo’s sketch…

Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
