Tour de Freaks - November
![]()
Oh…it’s our most favorite time ... the Tour de Freaks Blog Hop! LOVE it! And this month…CAS…Clean and Simple! Oh…and that is my most FAVORITE style! If you are going forward through the hop, you have arrived here from my friend Connie Babbert at Inkspired Treasures. Weren’t those just FABULOUS projects? I just LOVED her SNOW card! She always has GREAT ones! (and I LOVE those little leaves coming down on her site…soooo cute!)
Every month when the theme is announced for the hop I try to figure out a project that I can ‘feature’ in my post then pick a color scheme to go along with it. Well, I bought the Stocking Accents as soon as I could and, accept for one card, have not used it. So I thought since we are going for clean and simple, these would surely make nice cards! Then I decided to go with a favorite ‘Christmas’ combo of mine this year…Whisper White, Pool Party and Silver Glimmer - oh…soooo pretty!
So on to my cas cards…the base of this card is Pool Party 4 1/4 x 4 1/4. I stamped the greeting using Versamark and embossed with the Pewter embossing powder. I took a piece of Whisper White, used my 1 3/8” square punch to make it look like a banner. I made the ‘ornament’ using Silver Glimmer, Pool Party for the stripe and then I stamped the snowflake from Jolly Bingo Bit, embossed using Pewter embossing powder, punched with the 1” circle punch and added to the ornament. The ornament is added to the banner and then I made a ‘bow’ from Pool Party ruffled ribbon and a clear rhinestone brad, added to the top of the ornament and then attached the banner to the card front. I used the scallop edge on a piece of Silver Glimmer, added to the card front then added a strip of Whisper White cardstock to finish it off.
And for my second card…the base if Whisper White 4 1/4 x 4 1/4. I took another piece of Whisper White, ran the top through the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, embossed the greeting using Pewter Embossing Powder, Wrapped a piece of the Pool Party Ruffled ribbon around it, layered on Silver Glimmer paper and then to the card front using dimensionals. Next I did two holly leaves in Pool Party and three ‘berries’ in Silver Glimmer. I used my Simply Scored to add some lines to my holly leaves and then added all of these to my card front using dimensionals.
And now for my last one. Once again the base is Pool Party 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and again I embossed the greeting using Pewter embossing powder. I took a piece of Whisper White, ran it through the Elegant Lines Embossing folder and added to the card front. I added a thin strip of the Silver Glimmer paper. Next I did three of the trees from the Stocking Accents die - one in Whisper White, one in Pool Party and on in Silver Glimmer. I layered these together. I added some 1/4” circles in Whisper White and Pool Party and then did another ‘bow’ in the Pool Party ruffled ribbon and Clear Rhinestone brad and added to the top of the Silver Glimmer tree. The trees were added to the card front using dimensionals.
I hoped you enjoyed my Stocking Accents Clean and Simple cards! These would be so easy to do as your Christmas cards this year!
And now it is time for you to head on over to Deb Currier’s ARTfelt Impressions blog! You are in for a treat! She is THE QUEEN of Clean and Simple and I absolutely ADORE her style! Click on the picture below to take you there.
Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

Thanks for sharing that you made these cards with the Stocking Accents die. I’d completely overlooked that and wondered how you “made” the first ornament. I will be using a shopping spree earned from my up-upline to get the die for myself. Great inspiration!
