The Open Sea
Before I forget…TOUR DE FREAKS BLOG HOP IS TOMORROW!!!! WOW…we are in our first week of the Create with Connie and Mary Summer Edition the design team has been going crazy with the Nautical theme and travel log set. Since we are using those for our projects, these were sitting on the top of my desk so I decided to use one of them for today’s Thursday Challenge…a fun sketch for you!

With all the fun little elements on this sketch I decided that the set The Open Sea would be perfect. I started with a Not Quite Navy card base. Next I took a print from the Nautical Expedition pack and layered it onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler and wrapped so Early Espresso Baker’s twine around it then added the panel to the card front using dimensionals. I inked the round globe image using Early Espresso ink, stamped off twice, then stamped on Whisper White. I stamped the ship over it using Not Quite Navy. I punched this out using the 2 1/2” Circle Punch. I layered this onto a Basic Grey. I stamped the anchor using Early Espresso ink on Cherry Cobbler then punched out using 1 3/8” Circle Punch. I stamped the compass using Not Quite Navy on Whisper Whisper and cut out and then finally stamped the compass using Early Espresso on Not Quite Navy and punched out using 1 1/4” Circle Punch. These are all layered on the card front using dimensionals. I stamped Thinking of Your from the Teeny Tiny Wishes using Early Espresso on Whisper White, punched with the Word Window punch and layered onto Cherry Cobbler Modern Label punch and added a metallic brad for a little accent. This is added using dimensionals.
So come on over to Create with Connie and Mary and join us for our fun challenge this week! We’d love to see you there. And while you’re there, it’s a GREAT time to still sign up for our SUMMER EDITION and enjoy all of our GREAT projects using the Summer Mini Products!
Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!
