Take a Spin 3
I thought today I would share the card I did for my Control Freak Occasions Mini swap. WOW…there were really fantastic swaps! (But then, with this group, there ALWAYS are!) I had decided to use the Take a Spin set (LOVE IT!) and the spinner hands (what fun!). Read more about my project…
Since I had been in Pittsburgh with my family for awhile I need a simple, but still nice swap card. This one worked for me and really is not that difficult to do. The base of the card is is 4 1/3 x 4 1/4 Real Red. Next I took a piece of Whisper White and ran the bottom part of the piece through the polka dotted folder. This is layered onto a piece of Basic Grey. Next I took a piece of Real Red and used the Scallop Edge punch along the edge and layered to the white panel. I took the hugs and kisses print from the Love Expressions dsp, cut the one side on an angle, layered a piece of Real Red behind the angle and then layered to the white panel. I tied a piece of the Basic Black 1/8” Taffeta Ribbon around the panel and then added to the card front using dimensionals. I stamped the Take a Spin circle using Real Red on Whisper White and punched out using the 2 1/2 circle punch. This is layered onto a Basic Black circle and I added one of the game spinner hands. This piece is added to the card front using dimensionals. To finish this off I did the medium heart from the 3 heart punch in the Red Glitter Paper and the little heart in Basic Black.
So that was my swap card for this time. Take a Spin is one of the sets that we are featuring as part of the Bring on the Cake Suite on the Create with Connie and Mary Occasions Edition.
