Spring Fever
Here we go, another Thursday and another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! We LOVE creating these challenges for you and LOVE when you join us! And speaking of Create with Connie and Mary…our Occasions Edition 2012 is in full swing and we are having a BLAST!

Now just how cool is this sketch? Overall it’s a pretty simple sketch which means there is alot of different things you can do with it! One of the things we are using on Create with Connie and Mary Occasions Edition 2012 is the Spring Fever SS Kit…oh I do LOVE those kits and thought I’d use that for the sketch challenge today. I also paired it up with the new Paper Doily Large Sizzlit Die.
The base of the card is 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 Lucky Limeade. I took at print from the Spring Fever SS kit, layered on Melon Mambo. I made a Paper Doily from Melon Mambo and added to the panel. I added a strip of the Daffodil Delight 1 1/4” Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, made a ‘bow’ (click here for my tutorial) using that ribbon and a green rhinestone brad then added to the panel. I added the panel to the card front using dimensionals. I punched a 2 1/2” Whisper White circle, layered onto a Lucky Limeade circle then the card front. I stamped the greeting from the You’re My Type set on the label and then added to the circle. I layered up some flowers then added using dimensionals to finish up.
We are only in Week 4 of Create with Connie and Mary Occasions Edition 2012 and there is still time to join. For only $34.95 you will have access to the tutorials shared so far and then ones still come! Head on over to Create with Connie and Mary, check out what the design team did with the challenge and subscribe today! The projects have been just AMAZING!!!
Until next time…HAPPY STAMPIN’!

Such a bright and happy card Mary! Always love the way you use the wide striped ribbon—especially the bow. Such a great use of the die cuts in the kit too!
